In The Greatest Salesman in The World by Og Mandino, he says that you should give away/donate 50% of your profit and if you get in that habit then riches and success will come to you.

I do believe if you are achieving any amount of success and have extra money to spare, you should consider helping out the people and neighborhood around you. It will also translate into a welcoming sense in the community which is a wonderful feeling.
